Fashion Sketching & Illustration

This course is for you who want to improve your technical skills within fashion drawing and a better understanding of proportions, fabric and color, silhouette, line up composition and garment drawing. The course deals with how to communicate material and garment shape on body and how to present your ideas in the best way in a sketched line up. It also deals with studying body proportions, posture and movement through sketching. Finally we will have a look at how you can work with sketching as a design method, to develop ideas. The course aims to develop understanding of and proficiency in fashion sketching, production sketching, and illustration as a tool for artistic interpretation, idea development, and communication in the field of fashion design. The main content of the course is as follows: • Technique and mannerism • Expression and proportion • Idea development and design method • Production and detailed sketches • Compilation of portfolio presentation materials
