Feminist Pedagogy and Intersectional Gender Didactics

<h3>Do you believe that education can make a change in the world?</h3><p>If yes, this course is for you!&nbsp;</p><p>In this course we learn what changes are needed in the pedagogical practices, how to think about content, teaching methods, learning activities, the role of the teacher, and learning outcomes so that education can meet the needs of the students and make a difference in the world.&nbsp;</p><p>If you are passionate, creative, and open-minded come and study Feminist Pedagogy and Intersectional Gender Didactics with us!&nbsp;</p><h3>Exploring feminist pedagogy and intersectional gender didactics: theories and reflections</h3><p>This course introduces theories of feminist pedagogy and intersectional gender didactics within the field of Gender Studies. You will learn to account for the context of feminist, intersectional and norm-critical pedagogy and intersectional gender didactics related to current processes of change, and reflect critically on concepts, theories, and practices.&nbsp;</p><ul><li>What is anti-oppressive and norm critical pedagogy?&nbsp;</li><li>How do we think about power in teaching and in society in general?</li><li>How do we challenge multiple forms of oppression such as sexism, racism, homophobia, and classism in society?&nbsp;</li><li>What is an engaged teacher? How can we empower students?&nbsp;</li><li>What about body and emotions in a teaching context?&nbsp;</li></ul><p>We will address and ponder on all those questions during our lectures, students’ groups meetings, and seminars.&nbsp;</p><p>In this course, you will also explore tools for designing, planning, and teaching courses. Through assignments you will plan and design your own course putting feminist pedagogy and intersectional gender didactics in practice!</p><h3>Distance course in English</h3><p>Teaching takes place at a distance. The teaching consists of lectures, seminars, and co-tutor groups. In addition to this, the student must practice self-study.&nbsp;</p>
