Gender Perspective on Development Work

How does gender influence global social and economic inequalities? And how can international development efforts address these challenges? This course offers an opportunity to dive into gender studies perspectives on development and gender equality policies. We examine how gender equality is integrated into international development work and how perspectives on gender and equality have evolved over time. The course explores key issues such as political representation, economic opportunities, violence, and social norms – always through an intersectional lens to highlight how different power structures interact.
