Gender Studies: Gender in a Global World

<p>The world is constantly changing through migration, inequality and social shifts. Gender plays a big part in these changes on the global level as well as on the local and everyday level. This course helps you explore and analyse these global processes through a feminist theoretical lens.</p><p>This course helps you deepen your understanding of gender studies at an advanced level. You will explore how gender intersects with migration, globalisation, power and social change. Through interactive seminars and hands-on analysis, you’ll learn to apply feminist and intersectional theories to current global issues. </p><p>During the course you will: </p><ul><li>Learn about key theories in gender studies </li><li>Explore how gender, migration, work and globalisation are connected</li><li>Analyse current events and social issues </li><li>Practise leading and taking part in seminars </li><li>Develop your ability to think critically and independently <br/>The full-time course is worth 7.5 credits and runs every autumn semester. It is taught in English as a stand-alone course. </li></ul>
