GIS: Spatial Data Infrastructure

<p>The course gives you knowledge of SDI (Spatial Data Infrastructure); goals and concepts, the importance of data exchange and understanding of the components of an SDI. You will also learn about, among other things, clearinghouse networks, geoportals and the evaluation and development of SDIs. The course also provides an understanding of the importance of spatial data for planning, decision-making and sustainable development.</p><p>In this course, students will explore theoretical and practical concepts of Spatial Data Infrastructures (SDIs). They will study fundamental concepts of SDI and the important factors that affect the development of SDI. Furthermore, techniques for design, implementation, management, and evaluation of SDIs will be explored.
