History of Religions: Level 2

<p>How have religions developed over time - and what role do they play in contemporary society? In this course, you will gain both historical perspectives and analytical tools for understanding religion in a global and contemporary context.</p><p>This is a 30-credit intermediate-level course in History of Religions. You will deepen your understanding of how religions have been studied, interpreted, and transformed over time.</p><p>The course explores how religion functions in society, both historically and in the present day. You will study, for example, the relationships between religion, politics, culture, and global change. The course also examines how different religious practices and traditions develop and acquire meaning in various parts of the world.</p><p>The course is offered as a standalone course and may be included in a degree in History of Religions or in Religious Studies and Theology. The instruction is conducted in both Swedish and English.</p>
