You will learn to understand how regions develop, why cities change and how different groups are affected by structures such as the labour market, residential segregation and international migration. </p><p>You will get in-depth perspectives on regional growth, gentrification, segregation, innovation, welfare and living conditions. You will also gain tools for analysing social planning, regional development and urban change processes on a scientific basis. </p><p>The course provides an introduction to both quantitative and qualitative methods and a clear in-depth study of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), from theory to practical application.
