If you like to learn about industrial combustion's role in the present-day and the future, this course is for you. The course will provide you with essential knowledge regarding fuels and fuel properties and how they can be determined. The course further focuses on combustion fundamentals, the formation of emissions, combustion equipment, emission reduction, flue gas cleaning, and potential impacts on health, environment, and climate. An important part of the course is dedicated to practical laboratory tasks where students measure fuel properties and evaluate an industrial boiler's performance and environmental impact.
