Översikt
Technical development, driven by Industry 4.0 (I4.0), aims to enhance manufacturing through digital technologies, increased process efficiency, and value creation. The digital transformation impacts the whole supply chain. Challenges related to implementations of novel technology, as well as requiring consideration of humans, management, structure, culture, and work processes. In response to the technology-centric focus of I4.0, Industry 5.0 (I5.0) emerged, emphasizing sustainable, human-centric, and resilient perspectives. I5.0 complements I4.0 by integrating human skills with advanced technologies, creating a symbiotic relationship between humans and machines.
