Introduction to Business Administration for Engineering Master Students

The course, which is mainly based on lectures, focuses on the four business administration areas of financial accounting, management control, organisation, and marketing. The financial accounting section includes study of the content and structure of financial reports, financial ratios on the basis of information given in financial reports, and analyses of companies in terms of financial ratio and external factors. The management control section includes study of basic models and instruments used for decision-making in businesses. The organisation section includes study of the development of business organisation theories and various management and business organisation principles. The marketing section includes study of basic models and theories. All sections include an introduction to relevant terminology.
