Introduction to Sustainability

<p>This course explore how sustainability is connected to everyday life, organisations and communities. Through a social science lens, you will learn how environmental, economic and social challenges are linked and how we can understand and respond to them. </p><p>The course helps you understand sustainability from a social science perspective. You will learn how to analyse and use sustainability principles in organisations and communities. The first part of the course looks at how the idea of sustainability has developed over time and how it is viewed in social sciences. The second part focuses on how societies can be guided and organised to become more sustainable. </p><p>You will learn how the social, economic and environmental sides of sustainability are connected, and how they influence both organisations and society. The course also helps you practise how to think critically and talk about ways to build a more sustainable future. </p><p>You will take the course with students from the master’s programme in Service Management, specialising in Sustainable Service Management. </p>
