Language in Practice

The course normally includes practical training at a workplace, where you carry out a well-defined and concrete assignment related to language. At the start of the course, you are required to have secured a placement and an approved placement agreement that meets the intended learning outcomes of the course. You are responsible for finding your own placement. The aim of the placement is to give you the opportunity to apply your knowledge of language and culture in a professional setting, as well as to explore possible future career paths in Sweden or abroad. You are responsible for finding a suitable placement yourself, which may, for example, be at a translation agency, an embassy, a tourist agency, a cultural institution, an international company, or a government or municipal agency. It is important that the work tasks are relevant to the application of your knowledge of language.
