Students study, interpret, and perform a stylistically and historically varied repertoire. The course covers performance practices, style, artistic methods and processes, artistic approaches and assessment, technical and performance-related considerations for the repertoire in question, as well as the musical performance of students and their role as musicians. The planning and performance of in-house concerts and audition practice are included, as well as the study of piano accompaniment for students whose main instrument is the piano. The choice of repertoire is based on a broad musical and artistic field which includes various musical styles, but partly also on the profile of each student, which means that the repertoire of different students may vary. Gender equality and sustainable development are taken into account, especially through a fair distribution of coursework and equal treatment independent of gender, ethnicity, and so on, as well as a well-structured course content which is relevant and sustainable for future professional activities. Instruction is in the form of individual lessons, seminars, and master classes.
