Översikt
The Master's Programme in Pharmaceutical Modelling is designed for those of you who wish to focus on the multidisciplinary field of Pharmaceutical Modelling, which combines biology, chemistry and pharmaceutical sciences with computer sciences, mathematics and statistics. The programme provides you with the theoretical and practical knowledge and skills needed in this exciting and dynamic field of research. As part of the programme, you will meet researchers at the international forefront of the field, and there will be considerable opportunities where you can contribute to the development of knowledge. Uppsala University is renowned in the different aspects of pharmaceutical modelling, and the teachers are active researchers in their fields. Through the programme, you will obtain a theoretical foundation and practical experience of how predictive modelling is used in the development of new medicines, from the design of the drug molecule via its pharmacological, biopharmaceutical and toxicological effects, to clinical use. The language of instruction is English. A substantial portion of our alumni continue in academia, including top universities in the field, whereas many others land industrial jobs in the pharmaceutical field, including Big Pharma.

_Academic requirements_ A Bachelor's degree, equivalent to a Swedish Kandidatexamen, from an internationally recognised university. Also required is: * 90 credits in chemistry, biology, pharmacy or equivalent; * 7.5 credits of pharmacology; and * 15 credits of chemistry _Language requirements_ Proficiency in English equivalent to the Swedish upper secondary course English 6. This requirement can be met either by achieving the required score on an internationally recognised test, or by previous upper secondary or university studies in some countries.
