Master's Programme in Public Health Sciences track Public Health Epidemiology

## About the programme The programme allows you to develop a scientific approach to and to gain a solid theoretical understanding of public health sciences, with a focus on your chosen specialisation of Public Health Epidemiology or Health Promotion and Prevention. Both tracks include advanced studies in epidemiology and biostatistics as well as methods for outcome evaluation of interventions. Common courses also cover concepts and theories in public health sciences, qualitative approaches and project management. ### The Public Health Epidemiology track With its focus on applied epidemiology, the Public Health Epidemiology track will give you the tools you need to describe, analyse and reflect upon a variety of public health challenges and to critically review epidemiological studies. ### The Health Promotion and Prevention track In the Health Promotion and Prevention track, you will focus on developing the skills to plan, develop, implement and evaluate health interventions at both individual and structural levels. ### Teaching and learning environment The programme is closely aligned with current research and places a strong emphasis on methodological expertise. Student‑centred and active learning are core principles, encouraging you to identify your own learning needs and the resources required to meet them, set goals, and evaluate your learning outcomes.
