Mineralogy is a fundamental course in the field of geology. Mineralogy is the study of mineral chemistry, physical properties and crystalline structures. Among others, you will learn to describe and explain crystallographic concepts <br> describe and distinguish the most common groups of minerals<br> identify minerals <br> the uses for specific minerals Teaching The teaching consists of lectures<br> laboratory exercises<br> excursions The course is part of the Bachelor’s Programme in Earth Sciences, the course is also offered as a freestanding course.

Behörighet
60 credits in the main field of Earth Sciences is required, of which 75 % of the courses must have the grade at least Pass. Student with an equivalent education may be given admission to the programme after examination. Applicants must prove their knowledge of English: English 6/English B from Swedish Upper Secondary School or the equivalent level of an internationally recognized test, for example TOEFL, IELTS.
