Nursing profession, clinical competence and leadership

The course covers the profession, clinical competence, and leadership of the nurse. Instruction is in the form of introductory and specialised lectures, seminars, skills training, simulation, individual assignments, reflective discussions, and group work. The course integrates nursing (10 ECTS cr), medical science (3 ECTS cr), and social and behavioural science (2 ECTS cr), and includes clinical placement at a hospital (7.5 ECTS cr).
