Physical Geography: Geographical Information Systems - Advanced Course

<p>The aim of the course is to give advanced theoretical and practical knowledge of GIS within spatial analysis and geographic information processing. The course contains a number of parts that are based on advanced use of existing software for database development, analysis and presentation of geographic information.</p><p>This is a continuance for those who already have basic knowledge in GIS (Geographical Information Systems) but would like a deeper knowledge and understanding. The course consists of a number of modules with advanced use of constructing databases, methods for analysis and the presentation of geographical information. As a student you will develop your skills and ability to structure and solve complex problems in preparation for higher studies as well as GIS work. A project finishes this course in order to prepare students for the handling of data from different sources and formats, choice of analysis methods and the presentation of results.</p> <p> </p>
