Physics for Teachers in Primary School, Years 7-9, 45 Credits (1-45)

<p>The course is qualifying contract education for teachers in primary school, years 7-9. It provides basic knowledge in physics and physics didactics.</p><p>The course is given over three semesters, online and with several meetings on campus, and the pace of study is half-time.</p> <p>The course has six modules (sub-courses):</p> <p>1.  Force and motion (7.5 hp)<br /> 2.  Electricity and magnetism (7.5 hp)<br /> 3.  Waves and oscillations (7,5 hp)<br /> 4.  Modern physics (7.5 hp)<br /> 5.  Astronomy and life in the Universe (7.5 hp)<br /> 6. Heat, weather and climate (7.5 hp)</p> <p>In total, 6-8 mandatory two-day meetings on campus in Lund are included in the course. During these campus meetings, examinations, seminars and laboratory work are carried out. In addition to the campus meetings, online meetings are offered; some of the online meetings are mandatory. In order to be able to participate in the online meetings, access to a computer with a network connection as well as a functioning webcam and speaker or microphone is required.</p> <p>To take the course, a qualifying teaching degree and the principal's approval are required.</p> <p>To be successfull in the course, applicants are recommended to have completed upper-secondary courses in physics and mathematics.</p>
