Psychology: Research Methods and Bachelor Thesis in Psychology

This course is aimed at those who want to learn the basics of how research in Psychology is conducted using different types of research methods. The course is about the science and research methods in the field of Psychology. It is divided into two sub-courses. In the first part, you will learn about the theory of science and research methods used in Psychology. Here you will learn the craft of research that is both theory-based and statistics-based. In the second part of the course, you will conduct your own study. You will plan and conduct the study under the supervision of a researcher and then write a research report/paper on the study, a Bachelor's thesis in Psychology. Sub-course 1 Research methodology This part is about research methodology. You will learn about how to plan and design studies and how to collect data/information. The sub-course discusses important practical and ethical aspects that must be taken into account in research. The sub-course also includes how to effectively search scientific articles using specialized information retrieval tools. You will also learn how to write in scientific language and how to critically review scientific articles. Sub-course 2 Bachelor thesis In this part you will plan and conduct a major study and write a thesis. Here you will have the opportunity to practically apply what you learned in Sub-course 1.
