Robots in Society: Past, Present and Future

This course is for you who want to gain a deep understanding of the history, current technologies, and future possibilities of robotics.</p><p>The course begins with an in-depth look at the history of robotics, from the first industrial robots to today’s humanoid robots. You will then explore the latest advances in robotic technology. The discussions will cover what robots can do today, their limitations, and the technical and ethical challenges that remain. You will also learn how artificial intelligence is integrated into robotics and how AI makes robots more advanced and autonomous. The course includes an overview of the latest research, including projects at Lund University’s Cognitive Robotics Lab. You will gain insight into current studies and future trends shaping the development of robotics. By the end of the course, you will be well prepared to discuss the role of robotics in society and its future.</p>
