The Technology and Applications of Drone Systems

<p>Discover the fundamentals of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). Learn about control systems, aerodynamics, data collection, aviation law and more — combined with practical flight sessions. The goal? To plan and carry out safe unmanned flight operations. The course is taught in English.</p><p>Drone technology is developing rapidly and is used in many fields, including transport, energy, construction, logistics, emergency services, and agriculture and forestry. A new European regulatory framework for unmanned aviation now applies in Sweden and governs how drones may be used in society.</p><p>The course provides both theoretical and practical skills for planning and flying drones of various types and sizes within the Open Category. You will learn how drones are used for data collection and gain insight into their possibilities and risks.</p><p>You will also visit Lund University’s drone laboratory at the School of Aviation in Ljungbyhed. The course can be taken as a stand‑alone module and is suitable for anyone interested in technology, innovation, and societal development.</p>
