<p>How can we address challenges such as an aging population, social isolation, environmental issues, and the housing crisis? This course explores collaborative living environments as a pathway to community, resilience, and inclusion.</p><p>In this course you will explore how different forms of collaborative living environments can contribute to more sustainable and inclusive ways of living. Through analysis, critical discussion, and practical examples, you will gain tools to understand, develop, and reimagine future housing environments. </p><p>You will examine how homes and neighbourhoods can be designed to strengthen community, reduce social isolation, and respond to different societal needs. The course also addresses how housing environments can support social and ecological resilience. </p><p>The perspective ranges from the home and shared living spaces to the neighbourhood scale. </p><p><br/></p>

Entry requirements

90 credits in completed courses in design or architecture or planning (community planning or urban planning or landscape planning or physical planning) or social science (political science or social geography or social work) or economic history or technology (engineering in risk or civil engineering) or medicine (public health science or occupational therapy) or environmental science. English 6/English level 2.
