<p>Do you want to understand how gut flora affects health and the immune system? This course provides knowledge about digestion, nutrient absorption and how bacteria in the gut interact with the body and the food we eat - a growing field of research with great significance.</p><p>The gut flora plays a crucial role in our health and immune system. This course provides in-depth knowledge about digestion, nutrient absorption and how the composition of bacteria in the gut affects the body.</p><p>You will gain insight into how microorganisms establish themselves in the gastrointestinal tract and how dietary factors control this process from birth and throughout life. The course also covers the anatomy and function of the gastrointestinal tract, applied nutrition and examples of dietary interventions. Modern sequencing technology for analysing the gut flora is also included in the course, with practical exercises.</p><p>The course is suitable for students with some background in nutrition, healthcare professionals and professionals who want to develop their skills in this area. It can be taken as a stand-alone course and is suitable for those interested in the connection between diet, health and microbiology.</p>
