<p>The Master’s Programme in Human Geography is a two-year international programme that explores how cultural, economic, social and political processes shape people’s lives and the places they inhabit, from a geographical perspective. </p><p>The Master’s Programme in Human Geography provides an in-depth understanding of how societies evolve and change in relation to place, environment and global processes. You gain a broad analytical perspective on key issues such as sustainability, inequality, urbanisation and climate change. </p><p>The programme is designed for students who already hold a degree in Human Geography, or a closely related subject, and who wish to deepen their knowledge through advanced studies in geographic theory, research methodology and Geographical Information Systems (GIS). </p><p>Students from all over the world take part in the programme, creating a stimulating international learning environment. Teaching is carried out by internationally recognised researchers who address current topics in spatial planning, environmental analysis, globalisation and social justice. You will gain the tools to understand and contribute to solutions for today’s major geographic and social challenges. </p><p>Throughout the programme, you will develop the ability to address complex societal challenges through critical thinking and independent analytical work - skills that are essential both in professional life and in research. </p>

Entry requirements

A Bachelor’s degree with a major (i.e. at least 90 ECTS credits) in Human Geography or equivalent. English course 6 (advanced proficiency).
