Overview
The course provides an overview of manufacturing methods for additive manufacturing (AM or 3D printing). Various processes for manufacturing 3D structures are studied, such as laser with filler material in the form of wire, laser with powder via nozzle, powder bed/sintering and 3D printing with plastic. The advantages and disadvantages of different processes are discussed, as well as the cost and time required for implementation in a manufacturing process. Various examples of applications such as the manufacturing of specific products, tool holders, or fixtures are covered. The course is aimed for you who want to learn more about additive manufacturing and/or are considering investing in new equipment or have just done so.<br> <br> **Industry and academy**<br> This course has been developed in collaboration with industry partners within the framework of one of our educational projects. The project aims to provide courses at the advanced level to a mix of professionals and students to strengthen the Swedish industry's competitiveness. We apply validation of work experience to see if you have knowledge that corresponds to the eligibility requirements for the course.
