För tillträde till kursen krävs Receptarieexamen 180 hp eller motsvarande kunskaper samt avklarade kurser i Organisk kemi med läkemedelsinriktning 15 hp, Läkemedelsanalytisk kemi 7,5 hp, Biofysikalisk kemi med läkemedelsinriktning 7,5 hp, Biomedicinsk genetik 8 hp, Farmakokinetik och läkemedelsmetabolism 4,5 hp, Klinisk farmaci 7,5 hp, Läkemedelsformulering 7 hp, Läkemedelsutveckling och regulatoriska krav 3 hp samt Läkemedelsepidemiologi och hälsoekonomi 6 hp samt genomgången kurs i Examensarbete i farmaci 30 hp, eller motsvarande kunskaper.
