Overview
Understanding that geological materials such as ice, soil, rocks and meltwater deform when subjeced to stress or pressure; they crack, fold, stretch and /or flatten. These structures can be used to trace the history and geological evolution of the Earth. This course provides the opportunity to deepen your knowledge in the field and to put theory into practice. The course introduces basic ice deformation processes, field mapping and measurements and also includes fieldwork and regional excursion.

Admission to the course requires 120 credits within Earth Sciences with a focus in geology or equivalent, and at least 7,5 credits in structural geology.
