<p>Kursen inleds med samlandet och museernas historiska bakgrund. Vi ser närmare på vilka tongivande aktörer och andra faktorer som har styrt urval, representation och utformning ur olika kritiska perspektiv. I kursen diskuteras vidare verksamhetens förutsättningar kopplade till museernas uppdrag, resurser och kulturpolitiska riktlinjer. Vi resonerar även kring vilken roll museerna har som arena för konst och kulturarv, vilken målgrupp man vänder sig till (och vilka som känner sig inkluderade eller inte) samt hur arkitekturen och utställningsrummens gestaltning medverkar till publikens upplevelse.</p>
