Overview
The course deals with the analysis of music in non-notated forms, as well as the aspects of notated music that are manifested through sounding phenomena, performance, mediation, and written and oral statements about music. This course approaches music from the perspectives and methods linked to listening, sensory experiences, abstract understanding and reactions to musical objects of analysis. The course provides a methodological breadth and understanding of how music can be analysed using different graphic, audial, technical and discursive methods and theories.
