Overview
Den studerande utför under handledning en vetenskapligt upplagd undersökning eller tillämpning av tidigare vunnen kunskap inom det molekylärbiologiska området. Det verksamhetsförlagda projektet kan ske externt på företag, institut eller myndigheter, alternativt inom en av biologiinstitutionerna eller vid annat universitet, högskola. Området för projektet väljs av den studerande i samråd med handledare och examinator.

Entry requirements
Completed basic courses in biology comprising 60 credits in the subject areas of cell biology, molecular genetics, evolution, botanical and zoological physiology, ecology and biodiversity and systematics, or equivalent, of which at least 45 credits must be approved. At least one in depth course of 15 credits in a relevant area are also needed. To provide the requirement in English by an internationally recognized test, for example TOEFL, IELTS, the English proficiency should be equivalent to the level of English 6/English Course B from Swedish Upper Secondary School.
