Overview

Did you know that spectral imaging cameras have the potential to significantly improve sustainable engineering practices? These cameras can detect details and distinguish materials in ways that the human eye or conventional cameras simply cannot. The techniques behind spectral imaging are changing the way we see and interact with the world. Spectral imagery is captured from platforms ranging from satellites and aircraft to drones, laboratories and wearable devices, and has applications in many different fields. These range from astronomy, agriculture and mineralogy to medical research, food science, materials analysis and, most importantly, sustainable engineering. The range of possibilities is enormous, and we have only begun to scratch the surface of what this technology can achieve, particularly in the area of environmental sustainability. Are you intrigued by the possibility of using spectral imaging to optimize and control sustainable systems and processes? Dive into this course and discover how spectral imaging can pave the way for innovative solutions that promote a sustainable future for all.
