Overview
The course addresses artistic citizenship, a concept that explores democratic perspectives and ethical issues in relation to artistic practices and co-creative processes. By defining and problematizing the meaning of the term based on current scientific literature and theory development, relational, artistic and scientific perspectives are discussed in connection to the planning and the implementation of a project in an arts education practice.The course also includes participation in the international research symposium “Musics, Communities and Diversities. Global Perspectives on Artistic Citizenship” held at SMI 10-12 June 2027.
