Overview
Kursen genomförs som ett självständigt forskningsprojekt i en akademisk eller industriell miljö. Studenten får möjligheten att både fördjupa och bredda sin kunskap inom molekylärbiologi samt att tillämpa kunskapen som studenten har tillägnat sig under sin utbildning. Studenten ges också tillfälle att utveckla sin förmåga att självständigt genomföra och rapportera ett omfattande projekt. Arbetet som ska genomföras med vetenskaplig metod och innefatta forskningskomponenter. Studenten medverkar aktivt i projektplaneringen, utför arbetet självständigt samt dokumenterar och rapporterar resultaten, både skriftligt och muntligt.

For admission to the course, 30 ECTS-credits in Chemistry, with a minimum of 7,5 ECTS-credits in Biochemistry and 60 ECTS in Molecular biology, including at least 7.5 ECTS-credits in Genetics, 7.5 ECTS-credits in Microbiology and in total 15 ECTS in the areas of Plant- and Animal Physiology, and Cell- and Molecular Biology are required.
