Ett självständigt arbete, där kunskaper från tidigare genomgångna kurser tillämpas, som genomförs under handledning. Under kursen tränas studentens förmåga att specificera, planera, genomföra och redovisa ett vetenskapligt arbete. En viktig del av kursen är att författa en skriftlig, vetenskaplig rapport och att även presentera arbetet muntligt.

At least 75 ECTS of courses in physics, and at least 7.5 ECTS out of these must be at the Bachelor level or equivalent. In addition to this, at least 22.5 ECTS of courses in mathematics or equivalent are required. All courses for the thesis topic are also required.
