Overview
Kursen har ett interprofessionellt fokus och innehåller teoretiska moment med fokus på patienter med yrsel- och balansproblem. Kursen ger en bred kunskapsgrund i ämnet yrsel- och balansrubbningar och belyser många viktiga aspekter. Där ingår epidemiologi, prevalens samt orsaker till och följder av yrsel med fokus på upplevd sjuklighet med mekanismer, utredning och behandling. Även psykosociala påföljder av yrsel behandlas. De olika professionernas roller inom yrsel- och balanssjukvården kommer att belysas. Efter kursen kommer studenterna att ha fördjupade kunskaper om yrselproblematik, diagnosticering och rehabiliteringsåtgärder.

Entry requirements
Minst 120 hp inom vilka det ska ingå en kandidat- eller yrkesexamen inom hälso- och sjukvård. Alternativt socionom- eller specialpedagogexamen. Dessutom krävs Svenska B/Svenska 3 och Engelska A/Engelska 6 med lägst betyget godkänd/E.
