Overview
I kursen behandlas grundläggande statistiska begrepp såsom sannolikhet, population, stickprov och normalfördelning. Vidare ingår de vanligaste läges-, spridnings- och beroendemåtten samt en introduktion till statistisk slutledning (inferens). Speciell tonvikt ligger på beskrivande (deskriptiv) statistik. För statistiska beräkningar och skapande av grafer används lämplig statistisk programvara såsom MS Excel. För att belysa statistikens betydelse inom farmacin används exempel från praxis och från vetenskapliga artiklar inom farmaci och medicin.
