Overview
The course aim at providing in-depth knowledge of solid, liquid and gaseous biofuels (biomass from forestry, agriculture and waste) and their value chains from source to end use, i.e. primary production, harvesting technology, logistics systems, characterization of raw materials as well as conversion and processing. The course also includes evaluation of climate impact for production chains in a systems perspective. In addition to lectures, the course also includes project assignments with calculations, report writing and seminars, as well as study visits.
