Biology: Faunistics and Floristics

<p>BIOB12 The overall aim of the course is that student should know and identify common animal and plant species/groups, perfrom collections in the field and use identification literature.</p><p>The course include:</p> <ul> <li>invertebrate identification exercises</li> <li>observation, collection and species identification of vertebrates and invertebrateanimals in the field</li> <li>an overview of common and important animal groups that should be learnt according to a specific protocol</li> <li>identification exercises with vascular plants and demonstrations of species in their natural environment</li> <li>demonstrations of plant adaptations regarding pollination and reproduction, as well as variation within populations and species complexes.</li> <li>a general presentation of important biotopes with regard to species composition and conservation aspects</li> </ul>
