Overview
Blaise Pascal (1623–1662) var universalgeniet som uppfann den första kalkylatorn, gav namn åt enheten för tryck, lade grunden till Paris’ kollektivtrafik, och är en av den moderna franska prosans främsta stilbildare, men han var också en framstående filosof och en insiktsfull teolog. I denna kurs studerar vi Pascals filosofiska och teologiska centrala teman och nyckelbegrepp, främst genom verken Tankar och Provençalbreven, men också hans relation till den tidigmoderna jansenismen och 1600-talets teologiska och historiska kontext.
