<p>Texter och bilder bär på information och idéer, men hur har text- och bildbärande medier utformats, förändrats och förmedlats historiskt? Texter och bilder är viktiga historiska källor, men i den här kursen studerar vi inte deras innehåll, utan hur och på vilka sätt de har nått sina användare.</p><p>I denna kurs utvecklar du grundläggande praktisk kännedom om den grafiska kommunikationens historiska förändringar. Genom olika övningar och uppgifter lär du dig att analysera och förstå de föremål, fenomen och processer som varit en förutsättning för texters och bilders produktion och spridning. Du kommer i närkontakt med böcker och andra dokument från ett tidsspann av flera tusen år och får såväl teoretisk som praktisk kunskap om grafiska tekniker och de material, former och funktioner som karakteriserar olika dokumenttyper.</p>
