Overview
<p>Knowledge has always been power. However, in order to generate knowledge, information is necessary that constructs knowledge. As the global economy has shifted towards a data economy, in which data is considered as ‘the new oil’, business cannot be conducted effectively anymore without leveraging data. With evermore increasing digitalization, data is now being generated and used by the receptionist at a hotel to the farmer on the field. Simultaneously, the variety of data from weather data to an individuals’ location data allows for new and stronger data analysis. Thus, when all the collected data is combined and analyzed it unlocks unforeseeable potential, that allows for more effective, profitable and robust decision-making. In this course, students will receive an overview of current business analytics methodology and research and practice the methods of collecting, cleaning and analyzing data in order to leverage data for data-driven decision-making.</p>

Bachelor’s degree equivalent to a Swedish Kandidatexamen in Business Administration. English and Swedish corresponding to the level of English and Swedish in Swedish upper secondary education (Engelska 6 and Svenska 3).
