Kursen behandlar de termodynamiska huvudsatserna samt sambandet mellan intermolekylära växelverkningar och tillståndsändringar, termodynamiska beräkningar för olika typer av tillståndsändringar, olika typer av blandningar samt reaktions- och fasjämvikter, statistiska överväganden på molekylär nivå för beräkningar utifrån spektroskopiska data, och hur kemisk termodynamik har betydelse för människa och miljö.

10 credits in mathematics. Participation in one of the courses General Chemistry, Chemical Principles I, Basic Chemistry, or Basic Materials Chemistry, with at least 1 credit completed. Participation in Several Variable Calculus general course or participation in Several Variable Calculus.
