Overview
I kursinnehållet integreras ämnena omvårdnad och medicinsk vetenskap. I kursen analyseras barns och ungdomars livsvillkor på familje- och samhällelig nivå, ur ett kulturellt och samhällspolitiskt perspektiv, nationellt och internationellt. Vidare behandlas hur barn och ungdomars hälsa och utveckling kan stödjas, genom samspel och lämpliga metoder. Kursen innehåller också tillämpat preventivt hälsoarbete inom barnhälsovård, såsom hälsokontroller samt förekommande screeningar samt identifikation, bedömning och åtgärd av barns och ungdomars samt deras närståendes fysiska, psykiska, sociala och existentiella behov. I kursen ingår att planera och genomföra individuella och generella insatser gentemot barn och närstående samt därtill utvärdera de insatser som genomförs.
