Overview
Kursen behandlar betydelser av empowerment och social mobilisering generellt och i relation till civilsamhället. Med civilsamhället avses exempelvis ideella organisationer och föreningsliv. Konkret innebär detta att kursen fokuserar hur empowerment kan fungera som en strategi för att stärka både grupper och individer, och hur detta kan ske inom ramen för civilsamhället. Kursen behandlar på liknande sätt social mobilisering, vad det innebär och hur det kan fungera som en kollektiv strategi för social utveckling generellt och inom civilsamhället. Exempel hämtas bland annat från sociala medier och så kallade brobyggare. Studenten får dessutom möjlighet att själv och utifrån eget intresseområde utveckla en strategi för empowerment och/eller social mobilisering. Kursen riktar sig till engagerade inom civilsamhället, samt till den allmänt intresserade.
