Climate Adaption and Human Rights

<p>If you are interested in how climate adaptation can be designed and implemented with consideration for human rights, equality, and sustainable development, this course is for you. The course is taught in English and requires no prior legal knowledge.</p><p>The course is conducted in English and comprises five (5) ECTS credits. During the autumn term, the course is half-time (50 %) study pace and runs over seven (7) weeks. </p><p>The course consists of six (6) modules that are conducted remotely with professionally pre-recorded video lectures and self-correcting tests. At the end of the first five (5) modules, there is a self-correcting test based on the content of the module, and a passing grade on the test is required to continue to the next module. The examination consists of an essay. You will gain knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks in the field, such as the FIRE framework, and learn to analyze climate risks from a rights-based and justice perspective. After completing the course, you will have a deeper understanding of the relationship between climate adaptation, human rights, and equality. </p>
