Overview
Kursen ger grundläggande kunskaper om uppbyggnaden av människans immunsystem och hur dess komponenter agerar i samband med infektioner och fysiska skador men även vid exempelvis transplantationer. Vidare behandlas olika immunologiska sjukdomar (inklusive allergier) och hur dessa läkemedelsbehandlas, hur biologiska ämnen som cytokiner och antikroppar kan framställas och nyttjas som läkemedel vid ex. cancerbehandling samt hur vacciner framställs och verkar. I kursen ingår även en litteraturstudie av hur effektiv en viss behandling av en immunologisk sjukdom är. Kursen riktar sig till, förutom studenter på Farmaceutprogrammet, verksamma receptarier och apotekare.
