Overview
The course develops the student's knowledge of the profession of medical radiation physicist. The course provides insight into the tasks that occur for both medical physicists in radiotherapy and diagnostic radiology. To critically examine and evaluate own experience is an important part of the course. Acquiring knowledge and skills proceeds individualistically and should follow the project plan set up in collaboration with the supervisor. The course includes one or more smaller projects.

Univ: Minst 90 högskolepoäng varav Kärnfysik (5RA039 eller 5RA033 7,5 hp), Strålningsväxelverkan (5RA006, 7,5 hp), Mätmetoder och strålningsdetektorer (5RA002, 7,5 hp), Strålningsdosimetri (5RA008, 15 hp), Medicinsk orientering (5RA001, 5 hp) eller Medicin för ingenjörer (5RA028, 6 hp), Strålningsbiologi och strålskydd (5RA010, 7.5 hp), Bildgivande kärnspinnresonans och ultraljud (5RA007, 7.5 hp), Röntgenteknik (5RA038, 7.5 hp), Nukleärmedicinsk teknik (5RA011, 7.5 hp), Tillämpad dosimetri (5RA021, 5 hp), Radioterapi (5RA022, 5 hp) och Riskanalys inom strålbehandling (5RA024, 7,5 hp) eller motsvarande. Engelska och svenska för grundläggande behörighet för högskolestudier om utbildningen ges på svenska.
