Overview
Kursens mål är att ge teoretiska kunskaper inom området kognitiv neuropsykologi utifrån neurovetenskaplig och klinisk neuropsykologisk forskning. Sambandet mellan hjärnans processer och våra mentala funktioner kommer att belysas. Kursen behandlar teorier inom den kognitiva neuropsykologin med fokus på perception, uppmärksamhet, minnesfunktioner, exekutiva funktioner och språkliga funktioner. Vidare ges grundläggande orientering om neurologiska, psykiatriska och geriatriska sjukdomstillstånd och de neuropsykologiska funktionsnedsättningar som karakteriserar dessa tillstånd

Entry requirements
För att delta i kursen krävs att man är antagen till psykologprogrammet med inriktning mot idrott. Kursen läses i den kronologiska ordning den ges på programmet. Avklarade kurs på termin 1 och 2: Biologisk psykologi 7,5 hp, Kognitiv psykologi 7,5 hp, Eller motsvarande. Beslut om avvikelse från villkor på kursen fattas av berörd studierektor.
