Computational Materials Science, Master's Programme (Two-Year)

Do you want to work with the development of new high-performing materials? The two-year master’s programme in Computational Materials Science (CMS) gives you the in-demand skills and academic degree that allow you to work in a wide range of areas associated with materials development and processing. During the programme, you will gain knowledge in advanced programming, materials science and modelling techniques for testing and predicting material properties. Moreover, the programme includes an introduction to experimental characterisation techniques available at state-of-the-art neutron and synchrotron X-ray facilities such as the MAX IV research centre and the forthcoming ESS research centre, both of which are located just outside of Malmö. Such multidisciplinary knowledge and skills are widely sought by industry and academia, which opens up possibilities for work within the fields of design and engineering, or to pursue a future academic career as a PhD student.
